So, I’ve not posted in quite a while, technically not since before I left for my Summer excavation at Guney Tepe near Van, Turkey. At some point soon, I hope to finally get to writing something about my excavation and my great time in Turkey. Unfortunately, following my return in mid-August, I came back to some issues that needed to be dealt with and then jumped right into my Fall semester as well as a new knitting group. So, things have been quite hectic here.
For now, I just want to anounce the return of Archaeoporn, which should commence with the September edition of Carnivalesque sometime tonight or early tomorow.
To conclude, I’ll leave you with an image of my new work, based on a relief in Persepolis.

I hope for all of our sakes that that isn’t an ass cheek.
no, just a calf
Is is based on a specfic iteration of the figure at Persepolis (and if so, which one), or generic?
Nice tattoo, welcome back!
Whatever happened to Carnivalesque?
