This is your chance to win a copy of the History Channel’s The Real Tomb Hunters on DVD. I recently reviewed this DVD here. Included with my preview copy was an additional DVD, which I would like to send to one of my readers. All you have to do is comment on the bottom of this page by midnight Febuary 28th. From all of those who comment (you only have to do so once), I will randomly choose a winner and mail them their copy.

Excellent prize! Thanks.
I’m always in for a good documentary, or even a mediocre one.
Will you send to the UK? Have to say that your review didn’t really sell it for me
But my nephew likes this sort of stuff.
I will ship to the UK.
I know my review had some down points, and I don’t blame anyone who isn’t interested. However, I got the offer of a second DVD to give away, and I thought it would be worth it, because someone could give it a home.
This sounds like it could be used in several ways for undergraduate courses, though perhaps no as the creators intended LOL. I would be interested.
Be good to compare it know i have read the review.
Snakes, Curses, and Booby Traps …just my thing !
The review was well written and did indeed make me want to see the documentary. I have long had an interest in acrhaeology and the Egyptians etc and there aren’t nearly enough quality resources aimed at adults available.
Please might I be considered for your giveaway? Thanks. :0)
Sounds somewhat different to the kinds of thing I see on general archeological TV programs. Thanks for running the competition.
Having read your review, I do think this would be interesting to the unintiated. Had a cousin who was an archeologist, she sadly died a couple of years ago and would love this to give to her Mum
I went to see it at cinema in “Bury” but couldn’t hear it for bloke in front row “coffin”
Sounds like my cup of tea !!
This sounds interesting.
It sounds like my type of documentary, but your review wasn`t so good, but i would still be interested to watch it.
Looks very interesting would like to win.
History and detective work always makes for compulsive viewing. even if it’s not to everbodys taste.
my son would love this. he sits glued to ‘time team’….
Woweeeeeeeeeeeeeee…love that DVDDDDDDDDDD
Looks interesting. would love to win this.
What is a mummy’s favourite kind of coffee?
De-coffin-ated.
an interesting programme shpuld be more of them
Review well written & makes the reader interested in this film. Reminds me of Hercule Piorot Film.
Go on then, Send me it
Sounds like a pretty good thing to watch.
Fascinating stuff.
Looks really interesting – my boyfriend would love this
Tombtastic prize.
tomb-tastic prizes
Having visited Egypt a few times I would be very interested in seeing this DVD. Many years ago on my first trip to Egypt I actually visited a Tomb inside the Great Pyramid. I had to pull myself up by a rope, inside was dark and dusty and pretty empty, but fascinating and exciting nonetheless.
just found this site, interesting and fantastic, will be back
I should enjoy it, and if I don’t, my 6 year old daughter is an archaeology nut and probably less discriminating!
this house wouldn’t run without a documentary to watch everyday
Sounds fascinating to me as when we visited Valley of the Kings, my husband came out of Tutankhamun’s Tomb (where he was obviously cursed) he then fell down the steps into Rameses III ’s Tomb and broke his wrist!
I haven’t seen this one. Some of us who work in Egypt don’t have the exciting lives of our forefathers and need to live vicariously through flashy documentaries. I have never needed to hack my way through undergrowth to get to a faculty meeting, but occasionally there are villains.
Does this count as a comment?
Hi,
Love the website (have it bookmarked), and its nice of you to offer up a prize. I love the history channel dvds, but unfortunatly don’t own any of the archaeology ones as yet.
Read your review. Looks like an interesting, if patchy, watch. Anyway, worth a look I reckon… Count me in please.
Very nice site. I’ve popped it from time to time as I rebroadcast Kevin Smith archived shows and he covered this topic. I’d like to add your link to our site if that’s ok.
Doug
have read a few reviews on this, sounds like good viewing.
my son loves any thing like this.
Have you had a chance to see ‘How Archaeology Illuminates the Bible ‘
http://www.christianpost.com/Education/General/2009/02/dvd-series-reveals-how-archaelogy-illuminates-the-bible-20/
Would love to know if it’s any good. Still looking for a good primer on biblical archaeology.
Okay the review looks cool – my older kid wants to be a tomb raider or crocodile hunter or a hurricane chaser. I blame the good TV programmes.
(makes mental note to take to her to some work experience in the dreaded OFFICE and make her watch Eastenders)
I’m off to Luxor next month and would love to win this to give myself a different view of the digs – to give me a variation on what is told to me by the guides.
It looks really interesting. Hope I win!
Much better and more exciting than Indiana Jones or Tomb Raider.
I love secret tombs, underground tunnels hence the History Channel and uktv history always being one of our favourites.
We love the documentries, how nice to be able to watch them without breaks and have them on DVD to refer back to!!
This is certainly different – I should think it will be very interesting!
Did Aliens build these temples, pyramids and structures and created us has an experiment?
Looks an amazing DVD would love to win it
Looks interesting.
Documentaries make for great watching
fingers crossed its me!!
This would be a good resource for my daughter who is interested in anything relating to tombs!
I want my Mommy!
Sounds like fascinating stuff
Is there anything more fascinating??
