I really enjoyed this site. My 15 year old son was watching Star Wars (the first one that is now #4) and I told him that the exterior shots of the last scene were filmed in Tikal, a place I have visited. I Googled Tikal to show him and found this website. What a hoot!

I work as a docent. I was having a difficult time leading walks when mustard began to bloom because I was sneezing the entire time I hiked. One of my friends suggested raw honey and bee propolis. I took one teaspoon of raw honey a day and also added bee propolis to juice each day. After two weeks, I didn’t sneeze on my hikes anymore – and I haven’t since. It’s been three or four years now.

I am wholeheartedly in agreement with you.

Orac has been dissecting posts from HuffPo’s vanity blog more and more frequently due to the proliferation of wooful articles. He can truly make one’s head spin with the way he dissects the woo.

It was pointed out on PalMd’s blog that the appellation of Doctorate of Homeopathic Medicine was incorrect in reference to Fitzgerald. It should have been Diplomate of Homeopathic Therapeutics which is a certification given by the American Institute of Homeopathy. Being referred to is a misnomer which lends itself to granting more respect to her viewpoint than is due.

I was curious about the anti-vax position about autism rates and inquired about them on Orac’s blog. It was interesting to learn that Generation Rescue performed a survey which indicates that in actuality there is a higher percentage of unvaccinated autistic children than vaccinated.

An analysis of the survey found that while 3.01% of all vaccinated children had an ASD diagnosis, about 3.73% of all unvaccinated children did.

I find that HuffPo should be read as entertainment, not as a source of definitive scholastic research.

So you appear to agree that more shootings occur in gun free zones than elsewhere. Do you then believe that the establishment of gun-free zones has no positive impact on the reduction of gun-related crimes on their premesis?

My conclusion still stands. Gun free zones occur where shootings are more likely (high impact or big crowds), and so more shootings happen there.

Will you openly declare to the everyone that your house is a gun-free zone by prominently displaying a sign to that effect?

In addition, the cartoon dissected above is about mass shootings, not all shootings. Don’t outrun the umbrella.
